Dos Gardenias - Women in Bolero
"Dos Gardenias" Women in Bolero is a tribute to Women produced by Zamira Lacosta and Oriana Chacon. A night of music, storytelling and history as we celebrate the women who kept the soul of Bolero alive through the decades. Heartfelt stories from the women whose voices, passion and music defined this genre, from its beginnings to its modern-day charm.

Organiko Band
Organiko Band Toronto Urban trio known for their explosive sounds of Cuban Latin Jazz, Hip-hop, Timba and Afrocuban roots. In this project Zamira started to experiment with different genres in her music compositions. The band performed at In Future Music festival by Small World Music in sept 2016 and some local music venues in Toronto - Supermarket, Blank canvas stage Ontario Place and Four World Music Festival being the last performance of the band with Zamira as a part of the project in the summer of 2017.

ADEMEYI
Ademeyi is a contemporary Cuban funk, Soul Flamenco and Cuban trova Band. Led by Zamira Lacosta and Tony Riveron from 2019 to 2022 this band performed originals from both Co-leaders in many local music venues in Toronto. Lula Lounge and Drom Taberna to mention a few, multiples collaborations with Local artist : Analia and Piano master Hilario Duran from Cuba. During the pandemic the band was invited by VLACC and Lula Music and Arts Centre for a live stream on Facebook Fun page. The summer of 2021 Ademeyi was invited to Lulaworld in the Park online Festival together with others great local artists like JER, Bruno Capinan, OKAN, Danae Olano, Juan Carlos Medrano among others, this video has 113k views on youtube! Alma y Ciudad by Zamira was played on Big City Small World @cbcradio with Errol Nazareth!

Opera de La Calle
Zamira Lacosta was a member of Opera de la Calle, a groundbreaking Cuban Musical Theatre company that fused opera, Afro-Cuban rhythms and contemporary performance. During her time with the ensemble, she honed her vocal and theatrical skills, performing in innovative productions that blended classical and popular music. Her experience with Opera de la Calle deepened her artistic versatility and stage presence, shaping her journey as a singer-songwriter and performer.
